where to start…

it’s 2010 and so far, i’ve gone and performed at the Red Room in Kennewick, of the Tri-Cities region in the beautiful state of Washington. it was a blast and everyone that i was able to meet was amazing. everyone that i was able to spend time with during that trip, and the families i met were all so welcoming and positive to be around. it was a great change from the degradation of the “hollywood” lifestyle that i find so rampant here in California. i would recommend visiting the state of Washington and traveling outside of Seattle while you are there as well. It’s well worth it and you run into many various ecosystems.

there is a new track on the “music” bit of this site. it’s entitled “what’s left?”. it’s slow, brooding, and finally complete. many tracks in various sub-genres are coming near to completion and i am hoping to make this a very release heavy summer, especially with something that Mitch (Digital Silhouette), Tony (who i have yet to meet), and myself are working on getting up and running.

with some of these tracks, i will be hunting for vocals to be set over them. i have had this thing for Norwegian and Swedish pop music and the vocalists…..they just have something about their voices. anyways, i have been writing tracks that someone, or many with that style of vocal talent would be able to put vocals over. it would be great to collaborate. i will post some clips within the next month or so, making it easier to get an idea.

more updates to come, but for now…i’m off to make myself dinner, as i am rather hungry.

so, here’s the rumor:

it seems as though a teaser of a new electracomplex track will be arriving to this page here, the myspace, and maybe even the soundcloud site rather soon. i have been hard at work and have quite a little arsenal at hand for my next venture. as a warning to all of you, IT WILL NOT be anything like the electroharmonicks ep or financial aids ep. i am continuously growing and moving into new areas mentally and creatively and my current mindset and lifestyle has been much different. i will keep you posted.

for those of you who haven’t signed up for the electracomplex newsletter, please feel free to do so. i don’t and won’t spam the hell out of your inbox. i only give updates when updates are truly something of a productive, or large scale basis. i will not send you any little bits about random garbage (IE: what i ate for dinner, how productive my digestive system has been, my morning drive to work, or any other random stuff such as that). so, if you are interested, please sign up and keep your eyes and ears attentive.

the first track is still one of my favs to date. “a move to the hills (08 mix)” is a track of mine from 2004 that i remixed in 08 and really liked it better than the original. i feel like the overall mix and clarity was much better than the original as well.

next, is “room 6 is a land for dreamers”. this is seems to be the track i have recieved the most feedback on. it can be found on the
“electroharmonicks ep” as well. the track was inspired by psych patients, who were always placed in room 6 of the emergency room that i used to work in.

track 3 is a remix i did for a good friend of mine in Germany. Die Blutige Hand is some really dreamy, good electronica and the man behind the tracks and i have been speaking on and off, between life’s wildness. we finally came to remix some tracks for each other, and this is my remix for his track “elka flop”. i only used 1 or 2 samples from his track. i never want to remix a track to sound EXACTLY like the original. it wouldn’t have that “electracomplex” feel to it, you know? so, this is the final product. good times. check out the Die Blutige Hand link at the bottom of the page for some fun listening.
